Rockstar's appeal has been turned down by a High Court judge ruling. That means that Rockstar's Manhunt 2 can not be sold in the U.K. in case "IT FALLS INTO THE HANDS OF CHILDREN."

However if you still wish to own the game you can import it from other countries where the game is not banned.

MOVES to allow a "dark and violent" adult video computer game to go on sale in the UK have been blocked by a High Court judge, who ordered that the matter be reconsidered.
The British Board of Film Censors (BBFC) refused to give Manhunt 2 – from Edinburgh-based Rockstar Games – classification in case it fell into the hands of children.

Last month, the Video Appeals Committee (VAC) lifted the ban when it allowed an appeal by the US publishers.

It ruled the game was "unlikely" to cause harm to adults or children and awarded it an 18 certificate.

But a High Court judge in London has now ruled VAC's decision was fatally flawed by "a clear error of law" when it came to the test for assessing the question of harm.

Mr Justice Mitting said the committee had to reconsider its decision in the light of his judgement.

During yesterday's hearing, BBFC expressed concern that the VAC decision could have serious implications for its watchdog role "not only in relation to video games, but generally".

I've got it on PSP. It's an ok game, nothing special. I just like the fact that I'm essentially giving the V's to the BBFC.

Manhunt 2 is a quality game on a portable device, not so much as a console game. I'm just glad to be able to do more kills like I did in the first game.

It's absolutely ridiculous that any game can be banned. The BBFC should be shut down.

Well, if even the EDITED version by Rockstar got banned, than there's no helping it, it's not gonna be on sale. There's probably a way for you UK'rs to get the game transformed to PAL standard or something. Either way, it's free speech being violated, every person should be able to play what they choose.

Get the game transformed to PAL standard? We could just import it from another European country lol. Easy.

    This is stupid.

By their (FLAWED) reasoning, you should completely ban guns, knives, forks, fireworks, firecrackers, and even bullets, "In case they fall into the hands of children".

    Morons.

In my honest opinion, I believe that no game should ever be banned at all anywhere. As long as it has the proper warnings and rating, then really it's in the hands of the consumer. Hell I'd think just having the copies out back for those who only ask for it would be alright if putting banned games on the shelves is a bad idea in their eyes.
