Wiikly Shop Channel update: 1080° Snowboarding

No three-game haul this week, just a single entrant to the Wii's emerging Shop Channel.

But what an entrant it is: 1080 Snowboarding, the Nintendo 64 snow-loving classic is sure to leave winding tracks of success on the gaming slopes as players both old and new get to grips with its tricks and skills.

Virtual Console fans hoping for their usual dose of weekly Shop Channel variety will have to make do with somewhat of a mini content update today, with only one classic videogame offering throwing up a puff of glorious white powder as 1080° Snowboarding carves its way onto Nintendo’s download portal.

"Traverse the half-pipe from the comfort of your living room," enthuses the Nintendo blurb. "With this classic game, it's Winter Break all the time… It’s all the fun and excitement of the sport, without the bruises and frostbite."

    I really would like Super Mario RPG or Mega Man Legends to be added. Unless it's only Nintendo exclusives?

      Shouldn't be. I mean, for starters, we have Genesis, TurboGrafx, and NeoGeo games. Third parties also have games available on the VC.

    This is nice and all, but I wanted at least 2 games for the update, not 1. Seriously Nintendo! Wheres Double Dragon, Strider, Castlevania 3, Terranigma, teh Super Mario RPG, Secret of Mana!? Those are the games the fans want! Hop to it damnit!

    This game was great- only reason I really stopped playing was because of the unresponsive floppy analogue stick. Definitely picking this up soon.
