Apparently not even Saw is safe from the video game industry. A game is already in development, IGN says that the game will most likely be running on the Unreal 3 engine and it would come out on PS3 and 360.
The game's developers, Brash Entertainment, is a brand new company focused on making/publishing movie-based games. After checking out their website, I think they might have what it takes to make a quality game out of Saw.
At Brash Entertainment's recent press event, IGN received word that a game based on the Saw movie franchise is in development. This information was delivered to us through a teaser trailer that featured the Jigsaw puppet explaining that we as game journalists were wasting our lives in the industry -- so we'll take his word for it.
Scheduled for a release in October of 2009, the game will weave in and out of the Saw movie plotlines and will be an intricate collaboration between the development studio and the filmmakers. While this is really all the information we have on the title at the moment, we should note that the game will be running on the Unreal III engine and will likely be released on PS3 and 360.
Come back soon for more information as it becomes available, and head over to the game's official site for future details.
