SSJ3 Trunks | February 01, 2008 | News | XBOX 360
Rock band is a step-up from guitar hero but there is one thing thats new with it: Online capability.
A kid had a mac, plugged in his drum and he was able to browse the web.
Rock Band may be a totally awesome game, but after dropping $170 on the giant bundle that contains the game and its three core peripherals, a consumer might be a little anxious. What else will they ever use these peripherals for? Will other games help make it worthwhile?

One smart gamer decided to take matters into his own hands. Instead of waiting for new games utilizing the drum peripheral's capabilities, this tech wizard hooked the drums up to an iMac and proceeded to use them to browse the web. Check it out below:

I tried play Call of Duty with the drums. If I could find a way to move, it would be nice, but I could only crouch/prone, jump, and either shoot or aim (not both) with the kick pedal. If they had customizable control schemes, then I could probably make it usable.

That kid needs to look at the stuff that's already out, like hooking the drums up as a sort of MIDI player.

Oh wait, he's on Mac... not sure if they have it compatible for that.
