The wait is finally over for Japan but that doesn't mean that there wasn't many who were disappointed to find out there were no more copies of Brawl waiting on shelves for them to purchase. One person who was lucky enough to purchase a copy of the game has now put it up for auction on Ebay to allow gamers who don't have the game a second chance.

The current bid is at $242.50 but with one day left before the auction is over, the amount should significantly increase seeing how many people want this game.

With American gamers patiently waiting for March 9th to arrive, Europeans still await for a release date to be announced from Nintendo.

As Super Smash Bros. Brawl (SSBB) fans in North America anxiously await the March 9 launch of the highly anticipated title, the wait in Japan is over. Japanese gamers came by the masses throughout Tokyo today to pick up a copy of the game, with shortages now appearing evident in the region.

That's a little sad, really. Why not just wait until more copies are stocked? I'm sure it won't take long for another shipment to come out, especially considering how popular Brawl is.
I suppose some people are just impatient though, and will spend any ridiculous amount of money to get what they want. Like the people who spent thousands of dollars on a Playstation 3 only a few days before it was first released. Gawd, is it so hard to wait such a short amount of time to get it so much cheaper?

I'm not really surprised that this copy is going to be sold for such a high price. When I heard about the stock shortages I knew this was going to happen. We see it time and time again, like with the Wii. Ridiculous.

I wonder if Nintendo are going to crack down on inflated software sales on eBay, considering they were doing so with the Wiis.

I'd rather get a copy of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne at the same price.

How hard is it to burn SSBB's data onto a disc, Nintendo?

Woah...that's too much for a game. I can't wait to get it, myself, but I won't go that far to get it.

No surprise if i had the game being rare as it is i too would sell it for mad money. Thats how you make money really, especially on a rare item at the moment. I wouldn't buy it for that much but there is plenty of people who would though. Great idea.

Is it just me or is everything in "priceless demand" becoming more and more commonplace? We never dealt with system nor games becoming sold out and price inflated to more than 200 bucks ten years ago. Now we've got system shortages and game shortages with prices that many gamers simply can't afford.

I'm not surprised at all. And really, blame Nintendo. You would think they'd have learned their lesson with the Wii, but no...

    Just in case nobody noticed.

The bidding has ended and the final price is $265.

$265? That could buy so many groceries at home or three college textbooks. Instead, it bought ONE game. Wow.

Haha what I wonder is if the person who bought the game has a Japanese Wii. If they don't then they can't play the game!

I just don't see why people are SOOO hyped up. I mean, 240 Dollars? Damn! Isn't there some other worthy cause to spend it on? I could think of something better.
