Thought the copy of Brawl selling for over $200 was crazy? Well this is even crazier! A sealed mint-condition copy of the popular SNES game Chrono Trigger has just sold for $1217 on ebay.
The lucky buyer now has a very rare piece of gaming history in their hands. Let's hope for their sake it's real!

The auction for the sealed copy of Chrono Trigger I wrote about yesterday has closed and the coveted game went or a whopping $1,217. The winning bidder will be a bit poorer but will have one hell of a piece of game history in their hands. If you're itching to drop a load of money on a sealed SNES game and missed out on this one, you can still get a bid in on this copy of MegaMan X2. Opening bid is $1,000. I'm truly amazed... I guess it's true that things are ultimately worth whatever someone will pay for them.

Last time I paid for a classic overpriced was Silent Hill last year for $50. You better be a rich *bleep*er to spare more than a grand for a SNES package.

Woah, who would ever pay that money? I can only imagine he'll hold onto it for a few more years and sell it for a lot more then, because that's just stupid.

Great story, great characters, great music, twelve different endings, what's not to love about Chrono Trigger? It's easily my favorite RPG of all time.

It was quite the RPG for it's time, great story, decent cahracters...had everything I could ask for. Meh, I wouldn't pay that much for any game tbh, but I can see why huge fans of CT would.
