In an interview with Michael Ephraim, Screen Play asked them many questions regarding the future of the Playstation 3, and many questions were answered. Here's a quick overview of the key points raised:

  1. Larger Hard drives may be created by Sony and sold as additional peripherals, or Stores may do that them selves
  2. When PlayTV comes to the PS3, it will include a form of the EPG (Electronic Program Guide) which gives you details on upcoming tv shows.
  3. Sony (or specifically Michael) are unaware of price differences between multi platform games - i.e. DMC4 being cheaper on the XBOX360
  4. Reason for LOW QUALITY additions in the PAL PSN is due to multi-language support
  5. Major improvements coming to PSN in the next six months

I wouldn't mind buying a first party larger HDD as long as it was a reasonable price and it would be cool if they could make it 10k rpm.

Sony would actually want people to take apart their PS3s and replace HDDs under their authorization? I never thought they would. I mean, what if someone wrecks their PS3? Sony would have to pay if they still have the guarantee. No, maybe they would ask the customer to bring the PS3 to get the HDD fixed.

Where have you been? Sony not only wants people to do it, they tell you HOW in the manual and tell you to use third party HDDs.

The HDD can be pulled out of the side hatch. It's like the Network Adapter of the PS2.

Can anyone explain why my comment got negative thumbs? Are you saying the PSOne Classics on the store is mind blowing? Only a ignorant fool would think that.

Don't worry about it, I'm looking into it, and a ban will go to those that abused the feature

1'st party HDD is good news.

Also good to know that they're improving PSN.
