Metal Gear Solid just got more essential with the Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection. A combination of all Metal Gear Solid games thus far (from 1 to 3) and that too for your PS2 so you can experience the fun if you haven't had the chance to already, or if you want a quick rewind.
Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today confirmed speculation that Metal Gear Solid ®: the Essential Collection is currently planned for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. Now Metal Gear Solid fans have the final chance to fully immerse themselves in the Metal Gear Solid universe before the release of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

But anyway, as Existenz eluded to, the whole remote play PS1 gameplay is somewhat worthless in my opinion. You would have to leave that one disc in the PS3 to play that one game from where ever you were. On top of that, the lag is not very kind. I also don't still own all of my games, but would gladly buy some back if they would just put them up for download. I could also carry as many as I could fit on my memory stick and play it directly on my PSP if they did so.
At least then there would be no jaggies and such at native 1080p and they could force max AA and max AF.
I have really been tempted to play the games lately, but my PS2's lens is messed up so I can't. Twin Snakes is great and all, but I have already played the game many times and unlocked everything quite a few times.
But, like iLLmatic, I wish it would come out on PSN. I don't want to risk screwing my PSP/going through loads of bother just to play it on my PSP.
