EA and BioWare have officially announced Mass Effect for the PC. It seems the PC version will be bringing all around improvements, although the main story will remain the same.

Mass Effect for the PC will be optimized for the platform and will feature just what you’d expect from any good PC game these days - high resolution visuals and fully customizable controls. You can re-map the control scheme any way you want and also assign biotic powers or skills to ‘hot keys’, allowing you to use them on the run and focus more on the action. The inventory screen has also been enhanced - it is now easier to equip and modify weapons and armor. And there’s a new decryption mini-game to play around with as well.

the question is, will it allow use with the 360 pad aswell? some games like GoW and bioshock have that option but others like CoD dont. i hope it will though.

Are you sure? It might not have a specific XBOX360 controller setup but if it supports any kind of gamepad the 360 controller will work just fine.

Why Bioware games have always went to PC later. Hell, Jade Empire had a special edition that they re-released on xbox.
