GTA and GTA2, Street Fighter Alpha To Hit PSN?

Vito Raliffe | February 13, 2008 | News | Playstation 3
According to the latest issue of Playstation: The Official Magazine, the first two Grand Theft Auto games and Street Fighter Alpha are set to hit the Playstation Network. Go to the source for more info and a scan.
In the latest Playstation: The Official Magazine, the rumor section notes that we should be seeing the first two Grand Theft Auto games along with Street Fighter Alpha (Alpha was given a rating by the ESRB a little over a month ago) hitting the Playstation Network. Just as Konami is releasing Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection (PS2) near the time of MGS4, releasing the original GTA titles as cheap downloads would be a smart move. If true, pricing will be a curious matter, as you can download the GTA games for free directly from Rockstar for your PC. Releasing Street Fighter Alpha near the time of Street Fighter IV would also be smart.

As great as this would be, I'm seriously considering to buy the games on the PSX instead - why you say - simply because I prefer to have a hardcopy of the games... unless the game didn't release in the UK that is... (FFT anyone).

But still great news, may actually download GTA1, since I never did play that.

I'm the opposite. I don't care for physical media much, so I would rather have it as a download that I can select to play instantly. I want ALL my games to be like this!

I have the hard copies but they are to scratched up and i don't think it can be read any more. So this is just great news, and this can lead to FF7, 8, 9 to come to the store soon.

As good as those games were. I wouldn't buy them. They are too old and the graphics are just way too shit.

Could they finally be digging into their library? Could Metal Gear, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Return Fire, and Loaded be on the way?

SVR. Dude. It's not about the graphics, its the gameplay man. GTA 2. Unforgettable. Now for MGS!

Well, I own GTA and GTA2. GTA is really not very good compared to the 2nd. I'd rather have seen MGS instead of GTA tbh.

They might wait a while for MGS since The Essential Collection is coming up.

Yep! Along with MGS2: Substance and MGS3: Subsistence. Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake will not be included though.
