Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

It may have hit 1m in Japan back in June, however it has taken a bit longer (much longer) to reach similar figures in the UK, however it's still a great achievement nonetheless. Taking into consideration the console was put on sale 5 months after the US/Japanese release, it's most certainly a great achievement to have sold a million consoles in the UK, and more to that, it has been selling more consoles than the XBOX360 for the last month according to ChartTrack.
In fact the PS3 has actually managed to reach this milestone far quicker than the PS2 AND the XBOX360... times are changing for the PS3, it surely is looking better for Sony.
Last week, Electronic Arts stated that it expects the PS3 to outsell the Xbox 360 this year, clocking up between 5 and 6 million units in Europe and up to another 5.5 million units in North America.
Nintendo's Wii reached the one million mark in the UK within 38 weeks on sale, making it the fastest-selling home console in the region.
Microsoft's Xbox 360 sold one million units within 60 weeks.

Japan, on the other hand...
The real question is, who gives a shit?
"And how does that make any sense? You already paid for the product, it's not like you are getting any money back depending on how good they do. You are still down the same amount of money.
Buying a video game console is not investing your money, an investment is something you make money off of.
I don't understand why people call buying an expensive item an investment when they have no intentions on later selling it for PROFIT. You will not profit from a PS3, 360, or a Wii.
Before you or anybody comment with "but it is an investment":
No it's not, you are dumb. Here, I'll even give you the definition of investment: "1. the investing of money or capital in order to gain profitable returns, as interest, income, or appreciation in value."
Your console will not gain value over time. How good they do does not effect you. I own a 360 and could give a shit less about how many other people buy one. If microsoft goes belly up then so be it. I'll just buy a sony or nintendo product next, honestly, the ONLY people who give a flying *bleep* about sales are people IN the company and fanboys."
Another classic from finalblade.
Keep up the lulz.
And Deadman Rules, you just answered your own question, if Microsoft goes belly up, not all those that own an XBOX360 will be able to afford a new console, and thus they'll want it to continue and do well, so they get more games to play.
And where are they loosing or gaining money from this 'investment' finalblade speaks of?
