Gearbox's Aliens Title on Game Informer Cover

Looks like the next Aliens game will be called Aliens: Colonial Marines and is featured in the next Game Informer magazine. Personally, the idea of doing a squad-based FPS will add a whole new element to the Aliens FPS formula seen with AvP and AvP2.

Gearbox's upcoming Aliens title will be called Aliens: Colonial Marines and is described as a squad-based FPS. The full details can be found in the next issue of Game Informer magazine. Personally, I am completely in geek heaven right now. The previous AvP FPS games were played from a solo vantage point. Going in with a squad of 'very tough hombres packing state of the art firepower' makes me giggle like a little girl.

All I want is to play as an Alien like in AVP2 on PC. A squad based shooter,hopefully over LIVE :3

I hope they give you a dynamic mp campaign where you buddies can jump in on-the-fly, or if not the AI would be reliable enough to do the job. Mostly I play my squad-based FPS with my friends...mostly....

The funny thing is that I have told my team to 'Check those corners' so much in other games. In this one, it will actually fit!

So, Gearbox will deliver what EA cancelled.. YESSS!! I was waiting for Aliens: Colonial Marines when it was first announced by EA, but was heavily disappointed when it was cancelled.
Now I'm waiting to see how it will be. Thanks, Gearbox!!
