Sony's response to NPD Group's January 2008 sales data. Sony masterfully showing off how the PlayStation brand still conquers everyone else currently on the market.

The release points out how PS3 demonstrated continued momentum and outsold Xbox 360 by 17% in January. Sony also reports that their PlayStation Store download service is growing quite nicely - up from 6.6 million in December, total PS Store downloads exceeded 7.9 million in January. There are over 2.9 million registered accounts in North America and the store can be credited with 52 million downloads life-to-date.

    Well that's good that they are picking up momentum, but they still have a bit to go. I'm sure that Sony will have a great year altogether.
