Well, not necessarily, but the game does have an interesting little feature for those who find themselves too lazy or too frustrated to play the game properly. With the introduction of a DVD-style menu, Alone In The Dark 5 will let players skip sections of the game. I like it. It would be great for replaying the game. Not enough games use systems that allow you to choose where to play. Only shooters have done it so far.*As far as I know anyway*

True. I remember in Halo 2 where the player could avoid certain fights, hell, even play through an entire level, without killing a single enemy with a series of jumps. But being able to manually skip parts through the game menu ? Lazy bastards.

At least you can't get achievements, which balances the game out.

I don't like the feature, i want to play everything, for its price, 50 bucks isn't cheap.

Nah, that feature defeats the object playing a game. What's the gameplay time? 10 mins? Some of that loading time.

Nobody is going to force you to use the option, it's up to you whether you use it or not. Stop bitching about how simply having that option 'destroys' the game.
