Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

Game sites are always posting up new "top ten" or "top fifteen" lists, but many gamers find that they don't agree with the characters or games that are on these lists.
Well it's about time a list was created that most people can agree with. Cracked.com have posted up "The 15 Most Annoying Video Game Characters" and many gamers will find themselves nodding their heads in agreement at the characters that appear.
Go to source for full list
#12. Ashley Graham from Resident Evil 4
Why she annoyed us: When will game developers learn that no one enjoys protecting the weak and defenseless? Or even worse, controlling them?
Like Resident Evil 2's Sherry Birkin before her, Ashley's special abilities include being difficult, slowing you down, and making the game less fun. It gets to the point that when Ashley gets recaptured, it's like a weight has been lifted.
#11. Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Why he annoyed us: Mainly, because he prevents us from playing as the ultra-cool Snake. Instead, we're "treated" to hours upon hours of controlling the effeminate, whiny Raiden.
#10. Natalya from Goldeneye
Why she annoyed us: "Ok Natalya, here's the deal. I'll kill all the bad guys and complete the mission objectives. All you have to do is not die and under no circumstances should you step in front of me while I'm shooting. If you get the urge to fire your revolver or type on a keyboard with closed-fists, go right ahead. Just don't die. Think you can handle that?"
No she can't. If James Bond is licensed to kill, Natalya must be licensed to die. She, like the aforementioned Ashley Graham, was born with a rare genetic disorder that disables her instinct for self-preservation.

After a while, saving that bitch's ass multiple times in countless video games gets really *bleep*ing annoying.
I couldn't stand Raiden. I didn't mind playing as him - He was a decent enough character gameplay-wise.
But the codec calls with Rose were just *ugh*. They just went on and on. I don't mind if a long codec call divulges some into about the mission or certain characters, but spending a quarter of the game listening to Rose and Raiden debate what day it is, or why they don't sleep in the same bed, or why Raiden won't talk to her anymore is friggin' frustrating. Especially after the 2nd or 3rd time they have the same argument!
... come to think of it, Rose should be on the list too.

I definitely agree with most of the list. Especially Natalya from Goldeneye and Ashley from RE4. I'm not a big fan of games that involve protecting people, especially people that get in the way and make the mission harder that it should be.
(Does anyone remember the "Control" mission in Goldeneye? Where you have to protect Natalya while she's at the computer? Argh! That was frustrating!)
Natalya always had that damned habit of walking in front of you while you were shooting.
Finally, somebody who was mature enough and not cry about Raiden for such mundane reasons.
I'd always end up missing two in a row because I'd try and shoot the dog a few times and then end up having only one bullet left for two ducks.
Anyway, Daxter rules. He doesn't deserve to be there. Play Daxter for PSP and you'll understand.
The cops in Road Rash was good, i mean sure anything the cops do in any game is annoying, but I also tried to kill the cops. The best game EA was ever made to be honest.
Raiden wasn't annoying, why do people keep saying this. Dog in the duck hunt couldn't be anymore right, Jesus i wanted to kill him.
Oh yeah, Slippy toad was surely annoying >_> Suicidal little bugger >_<
Lots of games seem to feature at least one ally/neutral character that seems to lack the self-preservation instinct >_>
Navi got annoying after a while (re: after you learned everything you needed to know)....She is basically a 'help/hint' feature that can't be turned off >_>
I liked Daxter for the most part....Though sometimes he is like that buddy who says something really dumb (especially in front of a girl in the game) that makes you want to slap him....He was good comic relief most of the time >_>
Inversely, if you're in last place, they are nice enough to slow down >_>
QFT! I got a little annoyed with that dog at times >_>
When they're not getting in your line of fire, or get right in front of you right when you're throwing a grenade, they go:
"You'd better reload, Dr. Freeman."
"Get down, Dr. Freeman."
"I'll follow you, Dr. Freeman."
, or after they get hit, they say that they're hurt...
After hearing these lines for dozens of times, I feel like killing them myself, but no...
At least the Combine soldiers can dispose of them quite easily.
They'd definitely make it to top five of this list, imo.
Baby Mario sounds pretty annoying too.
Haha spot on! Great list. Tingle was no doubt going to be on the list, and it was a surprise to see the cops from Road Rash make it to the list too.. but damn right, they were bastards!
Lol, sorry but I just burst out laughing reading this
But how the hell is Farah from "Prince of Persia" not on this list? That bitch got in my way so many times, but besides that, she shot me with her damn arrows more times than I can count! I have a very big vendetta against her....
Daxter? Wtf he's funny, not annoying. T_T
Raiden wasn't that bad tbh. Sure, a little bit feminine compared to Snake, but whatever.
Anyways, the duckhunt dog deserved number one. I hated that guy, and no matter what, I could never shoot it.
