Virgin Radio has officially released a new MP3 stream that is specifically made for the PS3 and Wii. Users will only need to go to the Virgin Radio website and choose the stream you want to listen to.

Too bad you can't listen to it when playing your games.

This platform has great growth potential, particularly among early-adopters and 25-44 audience popular with advertisers. Playstation 3 or Wii will become the entertainment hub in your front room. We have worked hard to make the station available on as many different platforms as possible.

What would really be great is if you could find and play shoutcasts while you played your game. Or forget about the shoutcast and if you could just simply play music while playing.

Yeah, that's the only thing I don't like about this.
You can't listen to the music while playing.

I think its a good concept but without actual in-game listening capabilities it is useless. The PS3 and Wii are a gaming consoles first and foremost and making an update that can only be used online is, well, stupid.

Meh, it would be awesome if you could play games while listening to the radio but nonetheless, it's good that it's actually coming to the PS3 and Wii. ^^

That seems pretty cool. It just looks like one of those random features though they try to add to systems to make them even more "useful". I'll probably check it out. It looks like fun.

I don't listen to music that much anyway, so I don't see going to a website to do it much more fun. Still, I'll probably do it.

I have to agree that not being able to listen to music in game renders this pretty much useless. I doubt it will actually get used that much at all.
