Xbox Live Community Games Announced!

Xbox Live Community Games was announced during Microsoft's Keynote at the Game Developer's Conference. You can now create games for Xbox Live! More info at the source.
I’ve been waiting for something like this for a long time now, as I’m sure many others have.

Xbox Live Community Games is as exactly as it sounds, games created by the community for release on Xbox Live. Using a creator identity (much like gamertags), anybody can submit in their created games. After creating the game and writing a description for it, the game is submitted for Peer Review, to make sure no copyrights have been violated and to make sure it is appropriate for release. After a game has been approved, it is released to the Xbox Live community for download. Those who create good games will have their reputation increased by fellow gamers, probably similar to the system that is already in place for online gaming. As of this moment, a few of the games have trial demos up on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Games will hopefully be free, but nothing is confirmed as of now.

So how will funds be distributed? I thought Microsoft didn't like putting free content on Xbox Live.

Pretty sure it'll be created from the computers, unless Microsoft wants hacked 360s all around. xD Nice feature, I know a coding bud that'll be happy to hear this.

You know what, I got an email about this it was titled "XBOX360 first one to do this sort of thing", and all I could think was LBP, sure it's not the same, but the way I see it, it's a very similar thing.
