In Gears of War 2, players will now be able to prevent or even counter chainsaw attacks as seen in the teaser. Death will not be so certain as it was in the first game! More at the source.

In the first Gears of War, getting chainsawed was an unpreventable means of death once your enemy was in range with their Lancer revved. For the many of you who saw the recent Gears of War 2 Teaser, the first thought that probably sprang to mind when the battle of chainsaws between Marcus Fenix and the Locust enemy occurred was, “So we’ll be able to do this in the game?”.

Yes, yes you will.

I think you listen very closely when you're reading this article, you can hear thousands of Gears of War fans have a small orgasm.

I'm starting to think I could borrow GoW 1 from a friend just to see what all the hype is about.

Well that really rocks. I love the chainsaw but I never liked the fact that if you were stealthy you could kill anyone so easy with it.

Haha, damn there goes most of my kills online. xD I love the 'chainsaw tag' where someone would chainsaw your ally while you wait and rev up your chainsaw, as soon as that animation is done, you get them.

It's a fair fighting chance, though, so I'll adjust to this feature.
