Resident Evil Zero will be coming to the Wii in Japan during the summer with other regions TBA. Capcom is adding wiimote controls and Famitsu reports that you can supposedly play the game with only the wii-mote. Resident Evil Zero follows the story of Rebecca Chambers and Billy coen as they experience the events leading up to the first installment in the series.
So how many more "tests" is Capcom going to give Wii owners until they give us the next true installment in the series?
Following the worldwide success of Resident Evil 4, Capcom will be giving Wii owners a chance to sample another entry in the series, Resident Evil 0. The latest issue of Famitsu reports that a port of the game is on the way and will be released to Japan this summer. International releases will presumably follow.
Expectedly, Capcom is giving the game full Wiimote controls. While not providing official details, the magazine speculates that you'll now be able to play with one hand, suggesting that Capcom may be using the Wiimote to make RE0 into a point and click adventure of some sort. The magazine also notes that the Wii version of RE4 supported the Classic Controller, so perhaps we can look forward to standard controls as well.
In case you're unfamiliar, RE0 was originally released for the GameCube as the fifth entry in the classic zombie franchise, following Resident Evil, RE2 and RE3 for the PlayStation, and Code Veronica for the Dreamcast and PS2. Players switch off between Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen as they experience the events leading up to part one of the series.

What next? Maybe it's too much to ask that they actually make something, you know, ORIGINAL?
Why even bother? RE0 can be played on your Wii anyways.
Personally, I think they should drop any future RE projects on the Wii and focus on their other IP's like Monster Hunter or something like that, cuz Umbrella Chronicles was a poor excuse for a story-telling game. Mostly because Capcom can't tell a story that lasts that long without poking so many plot holes that you just stop taking seriously.
Besides, I've been flaming Capcom long before any of this shit ever happened, so really this constant "Sorry guys, we got bigger shit to do, but here's something we can milk more out of with your system" ain't anything new.
