Andrew Lackey, 24, of Huntsville, Alabama is on trial for the murder of an 80-year old widower that happened on Halloween of 2005. The victim was found lying in his own blood in his living room with at least seventy stab wounds, an eye gouged out, and a gunshot wound. He faces either the death penalty or life in prison if convicted. His defense? "Video games made me do it."
Gladden contends Lackey did not intentionally kill Newman. Lackey is charged with capital murder and faces the death penalty or life in prison.
Gladden described Lackey as a computer geek who had immersed himself in video games and lived in "a different world than you and I." He said Lackey reacted defensively when Newman, protecting himself against the intrusion, shot Lackey.

I can also say: "The TV made me do it".
"The dog made me do it".
Whatever it is your blaming on won't work, because at the end, he himself made him do it.
If he truly believes games forced him, then I have no pity for him to any degree. It just proves he has absolutely NO self control. I'm not usually one to support death but damn it, we don't need twits like him around so if they decide for death, then I'm not going to feel sorry for him.

Avalith Edit: Fixed.
Though I don't like to admit it, I probably spend 90% of of my life playing video games and I don't go out and kill people (hell I don't even like fighting let alone murder).
I wonder what he was playing. I'd laugh if it was Nintendogs. That game made me want to kill someone.
