One of the more original PSN and PSP games is getting a demo next Thursday. The demo will be available to the PSP store and to the Japanese PSN store. The release date of the full game is March 16 in Japan. No news on the US version, but hopefully soon.

If you're intent on getting an early run of Echochrome, then you may want to keep an eye out on the region's PlayStation Network. SCEJ has recently announced that they will be releasing a demo of this puzzle title for both the PSP and PlayStation 3 on March 6 (Thursday) next week. That's 13 days before the full game's release.

The Echochrome demo for the PSP is expected to be downloadable from Japan's PlayStation Spot locations, and the PlayStation Store (either PSP or PC). The demo's PlayStation 3 port will be available via the PlayStation Store.

Given that there still hasn't been any word of a U.S. or Europe release date for the game, we imagine this news will give you at least one extra avenue to get a sample. Drop by again in case more details are announced.

Wrong, you simply create a Japanese account. I have one for every major region.

I guess you failed to infer that he was pretty much asking if it was possible to create a Japanese account if you didn't live in Japan. The answer to that is, yes, it's very possible.

Assuming he knows that you CAN make a Japanese account but just decided not to do so; I answered to that. Way to overcomplicate the issue, but you coulda linked that earlier just in case.

Is the PSP version interchangeable with the PS3 version? Are they the same game?

The PS3 version is downloadable only, the PSP version is download/UMD, and the UMD version has about 100 more levels than the PS3/downloaded PSP one.

Someone please correct me if I'm a bit off.

No you are right Guticb. Also the psp version has an extra game mode.

100 more levels?? So is it not logical to label this a PSP game? Obviously you could download more on the PS3 later, but I'm sure you would have to pay for them. I guess I don't mind getting the UMD, I just wanted to play it on my big screen on PS3.

Actually both feature a user creation mod. People will be able to create levels and upload them like LBP. This mode will be avaliable on the PSN version and the PSP version. So no I think they will be free. I suggest the ps3 version, its most likely 30 bucks cheaper.

Do you know how many levels come preloaded on the PS3 version?

About 50. But that is not included the ones that people will create.
