The recent issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly writes that Kojima Productions is using SIXAXIS' motion controls sparingly, to spice up the gameplay here and there, and not outstaying its welcome. Kojima's Payton also says the PS3's motion controls were over hyped.

Kojima has chosen to take the ‘less is more’ approach in Metal Gear Solid 4, and has even removed motion controls from several places where they were previously planned, like maneuvering Snake’s Mk. II robot for example.

I hope they allow the option to enable it in the areas it was cut. It's as simple as that, whether you like motion controls or not, just don't make it mandatory and you appease both sides. It's very simple.

I saw a demo video that used SIXAXIS to aim your gun when In FPS view... The guy playing also said that if you wanted to, you could pretty much play the whole thing as an FPS.

You can do that with the analog sticks as well.

I'd be happy if they completely removed the Sixaxis or at least made it so I didn't have to touch it at all instead of force-feeding me that motion-sensitive crap like in Lair.

I don't think they'll screw it up quite as much as Lair..

The option of SIXAXIS should be exactly that, an option that can be toggled on and off.

Agreed. I prefer to fool around with SIXAXIS when I'm good and ready. Sometimes, it just gets annoying. I can't help but go back to Spidey 3, and New Goblin's controls. -_-

The SIXAXIS is just a neat innovation. But as far as it having to be used in gameplay, it's just plain annoying.

What do you want it to be used on then? Controlling cutscenes?

Like I said before. I would like sixaxis to be in but only if it is possible to turn it off. It would be cool if its like in Heavenly Sword where you can control the bullets (like sniper rifles or etc..)

I'm sure there will put the sixaxis into some good use one way or another.
