Just how much does Japan like "adult" games?

When it was announced that the Wii will be getting adult games many people waved it off as being a genre of small niche games that not many people would be interesting in buying. But just how much does Japan like their erotic games? Well ... it seems they like them alot!
To Heart 2: Another Days - an erotic game for the PC - was released a few days ago, and two thousand people had flocked to the Softmap Megastore to get an early copy of the game - at midnight!
This doesn't include the people who showed up at other gaming stores, the people who have bought their copy after the release day, or the people who downloaded the leaked version.
According to Akibablog’s late night report, approximately 2000 people were outside the Softmap megastore in Akihabara to queue for the midnight release of To Heart 2 Another Days.
Seems like the turnout is one of the highest for an eroge, so who say’s otaku have no night life!
