Disgaea confirmed for Nintendo DS

After hints that the project would be forthcoming, Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has confirmed in its latest issue that the critically acclaimed tactical RPG franchise, Disgaea, is in development for the Nintendo DS.

The latest issue of Japanese magazine has thrown up something of a surprise announcement (or not so, considering the huge success of the Nintendo DS), that a brand new version of the RPG Disgaea is being developed exclusively for the handheld console.

afternoon of darkness was an awesome game (that i never finished), and i doubt they can even mess up a formula like that @__@

worth looking forward to for anyone with a DS

Disgaea is a uber fun game I have both the Ps2 (Hour of Darkness) and PSP (Afternoon of Darkness) version

I hear the DS version would be based on the PSP version (I hear it is either based on the PSP, or the PS2 version)....PSP version has more content...

In either case, I won't be getting the DS version, since it would be more or less a ported version with a DS interface, of a version I already own >_>

I heard rumors about this possibly coming to the DS....but I didn't think it would be true >_>
