As seen in an earlier story, a feature patch was in development for the Xbox 360 version of COD4. Well now it's been confirmed that a similar patch for the PS3 and PC versions was being worked on as well. The PS3 patch has been at Sony for certification for about a week or so and the big info on the PC version is contained in the article.

As for the PC version, Patch 1.6 will be the one that introduces the new Kill Cams and other features the console feature patches received for you guys. The work is done on that patch and it’s essentially awaiting and going through internal QA here at Infinity Ward and then Activision. The good thing about the PC version is it doesn’t require any certification so as soon as it’s finished internal QA it heads out the door to the players.

Patches are nothing new, they are not a show of customer affection they are just plain normal business practice these days, most of these things would have been in the final game had they had more time, they are only adding what we should have got in the first place.

I think you'll find that the Game of the Year award owuld of been handed to them even of they hadn't released the patches. I mean not as if the beautiful graphics, kick-ass online play, epic set-pieces and awesome level design didn't swing it for them?
