Filming has gotten underway for the film based on the game, Mark Wahlberg will be taking the lead role in the game. The film isn't scheduled to be released until 2009, so it's quite a way off being released yet unfortunately.

Mark Wahlberg will take the roll of Max Payne, and although he does not look much like the character I am sure we could have been stuck with much worse. Better news comes from the fact that John Moore will be directing.

I remember reading about this film in the instruction manual for the very first Max Payne game about seven years ago. I'm expecting a whole load of bullet time to make up for the delay!

Mark Wahlberg? Awesome. Hopefully he can pull off the Payne face the whole movie.

Cool, a movie about Max Payne? Awesome.
I wonder if in some parts of the movie you will see comic book images telling the story?

The Payne face is exactly right Jmac, he looks constipated 24/7.

I know its your opinion, but you need a better taste in games period. Max Payne is legendary.

I loved the games, especially the first one. I'll definitely watch the film, let's just hope they don't bring out a game afterwards, most film games suck. ¬¬

I think Marky Mark actually looks a lot like Max Payne, especially with the faces he makes and he definitely has the attitude.

    They'll *bleep* it up.

    They always do.

I feel it will be quite hard to *bleep* up a game that is a movie at its heart.

But the difference here is that this movie has Mark *bleep*ing Wahlberg in it. He's an amazing actor, so I'm expecting a good, if not great movie.
