The system costs less than the Wii or just Arcade?
The Xbox 360 Arcade System is everything you need to start playing. Including a Wireless Controller, 256MB Memory Unit, and 5 Arcade Games.
That's the arcade version. Can't hold many normal games.
A wii, is about £200
360 Arcade will be about £160 I think.
All in all, it's a rather neutral situation; lowered prices is great, but not a lot in the Arcade version to be super-appealing...apart from the cheap price.
Regardless, the elite and the premium both have price drops too. It's good news for Europe. Even if you can't make a baked potato with the Arcade.
Edit:
In response to the thumbs down: I'm sorry. I take it back. The Arcade SKU actually cannot play games and is not in any way shape or form a 'decent gaming system'. I didn't mean to imply something as insane as it serving the purpose of a gaming console and being cheap.
I also admit now that Existenz is completely justified in factoring in the HD-DVD add-on to the price of a 360 on numerous occasions.
Sony's great and I look forward to ITANI's next article.

Ridiculous, innit?
People may argue that its better because its optional and in Microsofts' case they are lucky it was optional since they would be *bleep*ed right now if it wasn't, but at the end of the day a console should be compared on its features and at the end of the day if a 360 gamer wanted something comparable to the PS3 they would have to pay more, end of story.
