Video Game Critic Involved in Prostitution Ring!

Avalith | March 10, 2008 | News | Misc
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has managed to link New York governor and long-time video game critic Eliot Spitzer to an international prostitution ring where he was known simply as Client 9. There is no word yet as to whether he will resign, nor has he actually confessed (although he has apologized). For those who are interested, you may find the full 55-page complaint against Spitzer here (PDF).
ALBANY - Gov. Eliot Spitzer, who gained national prominence relentlessly pursuing Wall Street wrongdoing, has been caught on a federal wiretap arranging to meet with a high-priced prostitute at a Washington hotel last month, according to a law enforcement official and a person briefed on the investigation.

It's always amusing when 'tough on crime' politicians get arrested for illegal activities. And then of course they have the big press conference were they talk about how sorry they are and how important their families are to them, etc.

Just to clarify, he has not been officially charged as of yet. There are charges pending, but as of this moment they have not been filed.

I know the article can imply that he's been charged, so I wanted to make that clear.

I'm sure he'll somehow blame it on Grand Theft Auto or Wii Sports or something.

Soooo.....when are we going to see a corrupt politician game?

"Rise through your political career as you stab party mates in the back and get 'tough on crime' to rise to the top of your Party.... all while trying to avoid smear campaigns and hookers wearing wires!!"

If I recall his speech, he didn't blame anything. It sucks, he was such a great 'law-enfocing' figure and such...and to possibly know that he's done this...he'll most likely be kicked or have to resign. I honestly feel sorry for Spitzer.

Not to assume guilt, but it seems to be a trend, "The more someone opposes something, the more likely they are covering up for their own involvement in it, or related things"

@Kik - It isn't actually a bad idea, I've thought of it....I wouldn't buy it myself, but it would be worth at least to check out a demo, and 'lol' at it >_>
