What can only be described as one of 2007's top games, Bioshock is available through Valve's online community/store service, Steam. A lowered price is now set at $29.95 USD.

Unfortunately with Steam downloads you will not get a physical version of the game which you can hold in your hands, it will only be available through Steam as a download. Expect roughly an 8GB download.

As a bonus Valve is offering "Bioshock: Breaking The Mold" for download (pdf) which is an art book on the game.

Crap, does this mean they've abandoned it? I was still waiting for bug fixes the first patch didn't fix.

Didn't this game come in 2nd place for the game of the year award? And they lowered the price 10 bucks..This is good for people who couldn't afford it.

It's actually not that good of a game from what I've played. Generic shooter, to be honest. Get the 360 version even though I don't think that version had a price drop (probably because it actually works like it should, unlike the PC).

the PC version works fine, dont blame the developers of the game itself for anything. the only problems with the game are through the securom copy protection. ive never had any problems with that though so the game runs like an absolute dream. and it isnt a generic shooter, its much more than that. you want a generic shooter, look at halo.

BioShock is FAR from a generic shooter. Its one of the most unique shooters in a very long time. Its actually hard to even call it a FPS. You might not like it, and thats cool, but it is definitely not generic. How many shooters do you know that actually have a good storyline?
