Take-Two has announced that its new studio, 2K Marin, is working on BioShock 2 and that it will see release during Q4 2009. Ken Levine is still involved, but he will seemingly be more focused on his new IP. More info at the source.

Take-Two announced today that 2K Marin is working on a sequel to BioShock, and that it is set for a fourth-quarter fiscal 2009 release, placing it around October.

In a conference call to its investors, Ben Feder, CEO of Take-Two, stated that despite the studio change, Ken Levine will still “be working on BioShock 2, and he will be working on a new IP. A lot of the work will be done at 2K Marin, but that’s not to say that Ken will not be involved.” Hmm, this sounds like Ken may be focused more on his new IP than the sequel though. I wonder what it is?

Would you kindly give me some better water effects this time around? Like displacing water in more than just the DX10 version of the game, don't try to bullshit me, we've all seen it done in DX9 just fine before. That is all.

What kind of intrusive copy protection are they putting on this one?

Awesome. Hopefully they'll cook up an even better storyline this time around and maybe even experiment with features such as co-operative play. Now, would you kindly exceed our expectations 2K Games?

Probably. the 3rd on would likely be released right before, or soon after the next series of consoles >_> At that point, they'll be taking the 360 to the limit, and the PC version would likely be a fair bit superior to the 360 version >_>
