The first details of The Sims 3 have been revealed. Introducing a free roaming world where you can go to work, communicate with neighbours (Sims don't talk English) along the way and pump some iron in the gym. This is one of the main new aspects of the game and should be interesting to dive in and check out. More new features are an inventory system and also clearly stated objectives.

There are also a wider range of body types to select from with the developer saying "near infinite" of body types. Seems like the whole game is getting an overhaul and we can only hope for the best.

Goodbye social life?

Sounds good, never played Sims 2 but after Sims 1 and all its expansions i wasn't willing to spend another £200 on a series that hasn't changed just got better looking, maybe now i can get back into Sims, i need a change!!!

lets hope theres a huge overhaul to the sims body functions. i dont want to make them go the toilet/bed/eat every 30 seconds. there should be a bigger focus on having fun with the sims, not with constantly making them do tedious things.

That was the reason I was put off The Sims.

Calm down, Existenz, some just don't like it and...feel to speak for others.

I played Sims 2, but never bought it, I have The Sims and all of it's expansions, though, fun times. ^^ Can't wait to hear more about this game.

I've played Sims 2 it is pretty good, I'm sure Sims 3 could improve on it a lot though, there are always new stuff to add to a game like this.

I just wish the whole community can share the same timezone.
I don't want my moved-out sibling to remain as a teen when I'm already a senior. This really creates confusion...
