EU/AU Virtual Console (March 14, 2008) - Super R-Type, Operation Wolf

This week's Virtual Console releases for Europe, Australia and all other PAL regions:

Super R-Type (SNES, 1 Player, 800 Wii Points)
Operation Wold (NES, 1 Player, 500 Wii Points)

After a couple of below par weeks of new Virtual Console offerings, Nintendo is back to form with the release of one of the Super Nintendo’s most impressive (and rock solid!) side-scrolling shooters. Alongside it is an early military shooter for the NES, with a suitably beefy-sounding title and the first to include a storyline - oooh!

    Super R-Type is a great game. I highly recommend it. ^^ The upgrades and 'Contra-like challenge' (avoid getting hit or die), will keep anyone interested.
