IESB.com got their hands on a worldwide survey asking the audience who they want to see as the main man in the Prince of Persia movie. Well the results were unanimous - and here's the funny part - out of the 15 million people who took part in the survey, 70% of them wanted David K. Zandi to play the role. What's so funny about that? Well, David is the prince of Persia in real life!
And we might just see David playing the role. He is an actor and is proficient in both fencing and Roman sword fighting. So there won't be much need for professional training.
The adaptation of the Prince of Persia videogame has caused quite a stir amongst the fanboys on the web. Michael Bay passed on the project and it has landed in the lap of director Mike Newell.
Newell recently said, "[Prince of Persia is] a great story. If you had read the script, you would know that it wasn't a video game. It's very exciting and it's immensely romantic and it's like Lost Horizon. It takes you to somewhere you've never been."
Casting for the lead role has been underway and the IESB had gotten it's hands on a casting report for the film that focuses on the lead character and potential actors.
Five questions were asked to a worldwide audience as well as an American audience.
It looks like David Zandi is the favored.

Coming from a huge PoP fan, I can't wait!
Wow, such coincidence.
I guess it's better that way, because this actor doesn't have to go in is acting role, since he already does that for 24/7.
Kinda odd 0_o
But since it seems he is actually suited for the role, let him do it and hope it turns out good
I agree with what GG said, they'd be 'sick in the head' not to choose him.
Cool story...
