The brawl to end them all? How about the Wii to outprice them all?

Crystal Icing went all out with a Nintendo Wii system to give to the winner of the Super Smash Bros. Brawl competition. By all out, I don't mean building it from scratch with new hardware. I mean using over 20,000 crystals on the Wii system to deck it out. The lucky winner of the competition sure got his hands on a real gem of a Wii! :D

The Wii was given to the winner of the Super Smash Bros Brawl Competition. We used over 20,000 Swarovski Crystals to create this unique design. Retail price is $4,000.

    $4000?!?!?

If I won, which I most definitely would not, it would be going straight to eBay. Awesome looking or not, I could use an extra $4000 right now...

I wouldn't pay that much for a Wii, mostly because the crystals aren't good for anything except a higher chance of your precious Wii being stolen.

Some crystals, like diamonds, are actually much tougher than more metals and certainly plastics; if anything this may make the Wii more durable, not that it's flimsy and falls apart easily.

I wonder if all that stuff makes it overheat... I wonder if you can even play it.

You can. From what I can tell with the shoddy image of the Wii that was available, everything you need to play the system is either untouched or has been minimally crystallized.

This is epic. Whatever, though, I hope whoever got it didn't have much money and couldn't afford a Wii otherwise. That would be cool. I'm not sure on the details for winning it, but congrats to whoever did.

If they were to make a Koopa one, I'd start saving my money up for one. Right now.

They need to make a green one with Yoshi or something.
I do wonder how much it would sell for..
