No, it's Nintendo of America's fastest selling game yet. Basically, it's the fastest selling game on any Nintendo console. That doesn't include other consoles.

It's certainly quite an accomplishment, though. Together, first day sales in Japan and North America are 1.6 million, and that doesn't include Europe. If it sells 800,000 there on the first day (just like it did in both North America and Japan), that would make total first day sales hit 2.4 million. That's quite a big number for any game, I believe Halo 3's first day sales were somewhere around that mark. Both are two of the biggest system-selling franchises out there, so it isn't particularly suprising, but it's very impressive.

I wonder what GTA IV's first day and week sales will be? Mind you, it is multi-console (PS3 and 360), but still, it would be likely to exceed the 1 million mark pretty quick >_>

Well, this was expected, what with all the hype and everything. And even when that died down, people heard of the awesome reviews and went in to get more.

I want Brawl. I haven' seen any negatie reviews on it. And 1.4 million copies in one week usually at $50 a piece? Lot a dough there.

Did it beat Halo 3's or GTA SA's sales?

    Nonetheless, an impressive feat.

I can see that, it's an awesome game, and I wonder how many it will sell when it releases in Europe.

I think that GTA SA had 18 million sales, but I'm not sure on that.
