Japan gets steel PS3 with MGS4

Renowned Japanese magazine Famitsu just reported fans in Japan will be able to get a "steel" PS3 bundle, which will include Metal Gear Solid 4. No word on whether or not it'll make its way stateside.

Obviously, the console won’t be really steel, but it will instead be painted to give a metallic impression. A special steel DualShock 3 will also be part of the bundle.

    *Sigh* Japan always gets the badass bundles. If only the US would get this and the badass Crysis Core PSP.

    This is a moment where Insomniac should just make Resistance 2 and like...3 months later it makes it to Japan and SCEA goes like "Payback's a bitch, ain't it?" Then again I doubt Japanese people would give a crap because the game wasn't made in Japan or by a Japanese studio.

      When Halo 3 came out, it was number 1 in japan for awhile, so that isnt entirely true.

        Well that one being the only Non-Japanese 360 game to ever make it past the "Japan's top 20", I guess...Gotta say, the hype worked pretty *bleep*ing well in Japan but it didn't last half as long as it did here; obviously.

    A steel color for the PS3 and it's Controller.
    Sure looks nice, hopefully everyone except Japan can have some of that too.

    While the new colour definitely looks unique, I'd be just happy with a DualShock 3 bundle! Come on Sony!

    This is probably one of the only types of things an online petition can actually help with.

    Perhaps if they know there would be demand they'd bring it elsewhere. *cough*stateside*cough*

    Good bundle but I prefer either the black or silver over white and steel anyday.

    For a second, I thought Sony was really gonna start making steel casings for the PS3. Anyway, since it is MGS4, they're probably have a nice MGS4 PS3 bundle in the US too.
