Guiness World Record smashed - "The Largest Gathering of Games Characters"

Remember the Guiness World Records were looking for people to gather in Britain to create the largest gathering of people dressed as game characters? Well the record has been smashed. How many people do you think showed up?
10000? 500? 100?
Nope, lower.

Only 80 people showed up, and 30 of those people were kids from a primary school.

I'm sure that record will be smashed again soon enough. No doubt most conventions probably have double the amount of people dressed in cosplay.

GameSpot UK headed out this morning to join the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition world record attempt for "The Largest Gathering of Games Characters." Given that the world record did not exist before this attempt, those taking part were safe in the knowledge of beating it.

    Only 80? I'm pretty sure that there have been greater gatherings of VG characters before >_> Mind you, not officially....Nobody did a head check at all the big conventions >_>
