Capcom confirmed reports today of rumoured actors for the new Street Fighter film. As of yet, the cast is thus:

Micharl Clark Duncan (Sin City, Daredevil, The Green Mile) - Balrog
Chris Klein (Election, American Pie) - Charlie
Taboo - Charlie
Neal McDonough (The Hitcher, Flags of Our Fathers) - M. Bison
Kristin Kreuk (Chun Li)

Taboo, if you didn't know, is the long-haired fellow from the Black Eyed Peas. Yeah, what the hell. He's got the look, alright, but what the hell! Anyway, I have to see it for the same reason I had to see the first one: it'll be so bad it's good

While Capcom did not confirm whether Doom director Andrzej Bartkowiak would be helming the project, the company did state that Street Fighter is scheduled for a worldwide 2009 release.

Taboo is going to play Vega, not Charlie.

Taboo would make a very bad Vega imo. By far the worst pick. I'm having second thoughts about this movie. It might be like the 1994 version all over.... or worse.

That's a decent choice for Vega. Nice cast, hope the movie is just as decent.

I think I saw Kristin Kreuk downtown this winter (Smallville is filmed here in Vancouver.) She's way sexy -- but I'm not sure how Chun Li-ish she is.

None of them are good. The only suitable one I see there is Balrog and even I'm not THAT sure about him. I don't think it will turn out as good as I have hoped. Meh...

Agreed, man. There's definitely someone better, she's just, you know..popular.

But it is a Street Fighter movie. I mean, is anyone really expecting it to be any good?

Agreed again. I wanna see it cause I'm 95% sure it'll be so bad it's good, just like the first.
