BREAKING NEWS: Florida Supreme Court tells Jack Thompson to shut up!

Avalith | March 20, 2008 | News | Misc
Do not ask for whom the bell tolls... It tolls for Jack Thompson.

After being threatened with a spanking by the Florida Supreme Court, he continued with his frivolous actions that led them to issue his show cause order to begin with.

What was the court's answer? In more words than I can fit in this story: Shut up. They've decided to sanction Thompson by choosing to ignore any future filings from him for an unannounced length of time unless it's signed by another attorney. When Jacko chooses to violate this, they'll consider holding him in contempt of court. Jack Thompson watchers, you may move your doomsday clocks one minute closer to midnight for him. Those of you who want to read the full text of the court order may find it here.

Jack's comments on this latest order from the court? It's "good news" for him and "idiotic" on behalf of the court.
After submitting inappropriate and pornographic materials to this Court, Thompson was specifically warned that should he continue to submit inappropriate filings, this Court would consider imposing a sanction limiting Thompson’s ability to submit further filings…

Since that order, Thompson has filed numerous additional filings which led this Court to issue an order directing Thompson to show cause why we should not limit his filings… We now sanction Thompson…

Can't you see, huntyr? He's obviously winning! He's got so much ammunition now that he can confirm that the Florida Bar and Florida Supreme Court are pawns of the video game industry and the world's out to get him so he'll go all the way to the US Supreme Court and win!

It's more likely that he'd try appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court and claim that the Florida Supreme Court and the Florida Bar are in league with the video game industry.

LOL, they really said Shut up to him?
I hope one day, Jack loses his temper, and starts raging in the court, and then he will get peppersprayed by some guards in the face, and then knocked to te ground and be taken away and locked up.

They said to him what everybody has wanted to say to him for ages. Although, we might be a litte harsher and say a bit more than "Shut Up". Gg all the same. =D

Thompson isn't only a good name for video games (if such an idiot is on their side, what does that make us look like?) but he's also an embarassment to the legal system. How in the world did he ever even get in the legal business anyways?
