Does Crisis Core interview point towards FFVII remake, prequel or even another sequel?

A recent interview with Crisis Core's game director Hajime Tabata gives us some very interesting information about the game and it's development. But one question in particular caught my attention. When asked whether Crisis Core would be the finale to the Final Fantasy VII compilation Hajime answered "No, it does not. The Compilation's finale will take some other form."

    Considering the optional ending for Dirge of Cerberus, it's no surprise they will make another FFVII game.
    Let's just hope it's a decent game, and not the same crap we saw in DoC. >_>

    Seems interesting, even though I've never played any of the games CC is my first.

    I hope they remake CC for the PSP. That way I could play it.

          Just do what I did with FFIX: convert your copy and put it on the PSP.

    It is obvious there will be another FF7 game, especially after seeing the secret ending to DoC >_>

    I agree with GG, I hope the game turns out to be alright and saves the compilation.

    Crisis Core is awesome so now worries there, I've beaten the entire game and it was awesome not even knowing really what was going on.

    If any of you watched the secret ending in Crisis Core that's another tip that there will be a FFVII.

      I see what you're driving at, but a lot of people forget one detail when they see this ending:

      Crisis Core has always meant to be a prequel to FFVII, so of course it would end with the beginning of the original game. Doesn't necessarily mean there WILL be a remake. It just helps for people who prefer playing games in chronological order.

    I have yet to play Crisis Core. I just started to play FF7 for the second time to show my gf how good it is. Then ima plan to play CC. I would loooove a remake cause my gfs getting bored cause the graphics arent quite up to par to nowadays standards. I just hope the gameplay stays the same.

    They remade all the FF games up to VI did they not? FFVII is bound to happen.

    I seriously wish they would remake FF7 in HD for the Playstation 3. I would buy it in a heartbeat.

      Also, they are working on new FF titles, so there are others to look out for.
