Halo 3's "Heroic Map Pack" will no longer carry its 800 Microsoft Points price tag as of this Tuesday. The three multiplayer maps - "Standoff", "Foundry" and "Rat's Nest" - will be made free in anticipation of the "Legendary Map Pack", scheduled to release April 15. The content was originally released last December via the Xbox Live Marketplace.

A fantastically creative trailer has been released by Bungie to mark the occasion.
