Seems that the PS3 version of Rainbow Six Vegas 2 has a bugged online. Almost everyone can't connect to the servers and even if you do connect glitches and bugs in game have also been reported. Yet the 360's online works just fine. Can you connect?

Yeah, broken. Shame. Seems anyone who owns the PS3 version of the game and wants to play online is shit outta luck, with widespread reports flooding into our poor, beleaguered tips box all weekend of problems associated with the game's multiplayer. Chief amongst these is just finding someone to play against, with most users complaining of an inability to connect to servers for a game, though those who can connect aren't out of the woods, with a number of glitches and bugs during online play reported. All in all a big fat mess, really. Ubisoft are aware of the problems, and are asking anyone affected to hit up the game's forums and complain officially and in detail, as "this information will be invaluable in working out and addressing the issues you are experiencing".

That's a surprise, the same shit happened with Vegas. Either way, I haven't had these connection problems so far, but I'm hoping it stays that way.

Inherent problem with the PSN or continued *bleep*-up?

You decide. Either way, it's incredibly annoying that nothing good ever comes out of the PSN except Resistance.

Does talking out of your ass pay off much? Vegas 2 *bleep*s up and suddenly it's the PSN, yet strangely the other games play seamlessly online (Then for some obscure reason you decide to beat down the PSN's reputation without a basis or good reason). Ubisoft (or any third party online support like DemonWare) is responsible for Vegas online.

I'm sure it's just first launch problems that will be fixed within the month. The reason Microsoft doesn't face the same issues is because they can't afford to let down their paying subscriber base.

It's probably the way Vegas's Online is structured and how Ubisoft did it. Same thing happened during the first days of the first game as well.

Which is the whole point. With Live, you have millions of people who have the power of veto if they decide not to pay for Live anymore, with PSN, if someone gets pissed and doesn't ever log into it again, Sony couldn't care less since they're not putting any revenue into the network.

That's what I also like about Sony and Nintendo. Free online play. I don't feel like paying to play the best part of the game.

For everyone in favour of free online play remember, you get what you pay for.

That doesn't apply in this case and that cliche is really annoying to hear now. Granted, PSN is not as stable as XBL, but this particular issue does not occur with other PS3 games. Like others have said, the same thing happened with Vegas 1. For this to happen again, Ubisoft should be ashamed.

Then explain why this doesn't happen with XBL games then.

Alright, this is getting annoying. Apparently I'm talking to my *bleep*ing self, as my last statement got disregarded...

PSN: Lobbying/Matchmaking depends on Developer/Third party Matchmaking support

Live: Lobbying/Matchmaking depends on Microsoft, which is where your money pays off.

Now before anybody starts twisting more panties over this, the game is not broken or unplayable in anyway. So you guys need to stop making this a bigger issue than it really is. The PSN is playing the same games online for free, same quality and nothing is toned down, not to mention these cases are not even that common. So for the people that love to talk shit about it should AT LEAST play them on the PSN first before running their mouths off; it gets embarassing after a while.
