It's March 25th, and thusly, Nintendo's WiiWare has launched in Japan, as a platform for developers with smaller budgets to produce quality, innovative games.
The launch titles are as follows:
Some of the more interesting tidbits are that FFCC: My Life as a King, Mojipittan, and Lonpos sport Nintendo's new pay-to-play structure, with each game sporting additional content for a fee. In the case of My Life as a King, extra Wii Points will be needed for extra costumes and the three other races in the CC universe. Pricing for the downloadable content will fall between 100-300 ($1-$3) Wii Points, although specifics are not finalized.
Expect gameplay videos and impressions soon, as sites and people start uploading them.
WiiWare will be available in the US on May 12, 2008.

It's alot more reasonable then charging $5 for the game "Pinball" for the NES. Ugh.
Also, Rock Band won't have DLC.
