Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time
16 hours 24 mins ago
Matt Hawkins releases a list of games which consists of some of the most popular games currently out there. The only problem for most readers, is that these are the "best of the worst"
He mentions that he us often negative when it comes to the gaming industry, describing himself as such; "I'm a big fan of wrestling managers who like pissing off the audience."
10. "Donkey Kong Country"
9. "Shenmue"
8. "Madden" (series)
7. "Grand Theft Auto III," "Vice City" and "San Andreas"
6. "Rise of the Robots"
5. "World of Warcraft"
4. "Sonic Adventure 2"
3. "Harvester"
2. "Link: The Faces of Evil"
1A. "Kingdom Hearts 2"
1B. "Final Fantasy VII"
Hawkins knows some of those titles are world famous. He knows some of those would go on other people's best-games lists. He has reasons for despising each one.

Don't think I've played any of the others before, sooo... *shrug*
It would be interesting to see the actual reasons for why he hates all of these games.
It was an interesting article, although I have to disagree with some of that list. I agree that MTV really wasn't the best source for judging such games.
"The games on his list aren't necessarily incompetently made, in his mind. They are worse: They are bad influences."
Hence FFVII is criticised for the trends it created, rather than being a bad game in and of itself. Of course, it's possible to point out that it's not entirely the fault of the game that other RPG developers decided to mimic it's formula, rather than forge their own style. This conformity and lack of innovation (be it the consequence in games or in social trends) seems to be at the heart of many of his reasons, actually. A shame more quotes or transcripts weren't there.
By the way, it seems rather hypocritical for MTV to post an article that criticises the popularisation of 'bad' products, no?
I do have to agree, though, MTV probably wasn't the best news source when it comes down to it.
1B. "Final Fantasy VII"
