In a recent interview with Japanese gaming bible Famitsu, the creator and director of Super Smash Bros. Brawl expresses his desire to work on games in genres other than beat-em-ups in future.

The current issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu includes an extensive interview with Super Smash Bros. Brawl director Masahiro Sakurai, in which he discusses his pleasure at the eclectic fighter's success, as well as his hopes for the direction of his own firm, Sora Ltd.<!--

    In all seriousness I would hope he will develop other games that are as far gone beyond the genre they are based in. He has shown with Smash Bros a talent for games that are far less genre bound, I hope he continues in that way, there are many genres I would love to spiced up.

    I think it would be good for him to spread his horizons more and give us a wider ranger of great games, as long as SSB is still good

    Sounds good to me, lets hope its another hit, though I doubt it would be as monumental as the SSB series.

    If he puts in as much effort in every game as he does with Brawl, he could become on of the top video game developer.

      A variety of games is always good, even though it may not be the most popular game he's ever made.
