Banjo 3 not thinking of the children

Perhaps returning to the ethos it founded with Conker's Bad Fur Day (at least somewhat), Rare's community manager, George Kellion says of the new Banjo game: "I can assure you that we haven't been focused on 4 year-olds when creating the new Banjo game. We hope that you'll be pleasantly surprised at what we've cooked up."

While remaining almost infuriatingly silent on gameplay details, Kellion did hint that "there's a fair bit in the first level that should please long-time Banjo fans," while reminding forumites that Rare has said in the past that it won't be a traditional platformer, and to expect something different.

    Lol? Cocks rising sound a bit over the edge for a bear and a bird. But making it a bit more teen might not hurt. They shouldn't lose the whole feel of Banjo and Kazooie, though, and that feel is pretty childish.

      Also, dont confuse childish with childlike! I think Banjo is very childlike and wonderful.

        Childlike my ass. Didn't you see the "subliminal messages" in Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie? Example: WHen you rescue Chris.P.Bacon he says "i think i'm growing a "third leg". If you don't know what a third leg is then look it up on Wiki!

    I wish that Rare would just stop talking around the idea of actually showing us some gameplay footage and just do it already. I guess we will finaly understand what they are on about (if anything) at E3 but still stop wasting our time with these non-events.

    Makes sense. Those who remember Banjo in the first place are likely in their late teens/early twenties.

      I'm 14! I still reckon that the kids won't be able to pick up on all the adult humor when Banjo-Threeie comes out... nobody really did with Banjo-Tooie and Kazooie! :I
