If you're looking for something to restore your faith in humanity, turn away now. This isn't the story for you unless you're interested in what local law enforcement was able to do for the victim.
A seven year-old cancer patient was on his way to a monthly chemotherapy appointment for a tumor in his brain and stopped at Denny's for breakfast with his family. While the family was eating, some thieves broke into the car and stole the young boy's backpack which included, of all things, a precious PSP and some games.
There are two positives to this story, however. First and foremost, the Dallas police department was able to raise $1000 within two and a half hours to buy him a brand new PSP and new copies of all the games that were stolen. Secondly, the boy has a legitimate excuse for why his homework wasn't done: "It was stolen." As for the criminals... Hopefully they'll be caught.
Kyle Springs, a seven year old cancer patient on his way to a chemotherapy appointment in Dallas gets his PSP stolen. Not only that, but his school homework, medicine, and medical records were also taken. Worst of all, it happened the day before his birthday. Tragic.

Of course, they could have been in the boy's backpack and they just took the whole thing, not bothering to look and see what was in it or not.

An obsessive impulse to steal regardless of economic need, usually arising from an unconscious symbolic value associated with the stolen item.
I doubt this is the case here. Just letting you know that it can actually be a disorder. As opposed to being "dumb"
Good News - He got a new PSP and copies of his games
Sure, he lost his save files, and might need to transfer pics and stuff back on, but still, with all that money, hey could have gotten some sweet games in return
Especially in summer and winter. In summer it can get so hot it could cook the plastic (Cars are like greenhouses, they heat up so easily), and in winter, it could freeze your defenseless technology >_>
