GamePro Users Choose MGS4 as Top Anticipated Game for PS3

Thats right, GamePro User's have all chosen Metal Gear Solid 4 as there most anticipated game for the Playstation 3 at the moment with a staggering 57.7% of the vote. Quite incredible that. In second place though follows Gran Turismo 5, third and fourth see the sequels of Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 whilst staggering in for fifth spot is LittleBigPlanet.

In addition to that I assume this is only for Playstation 3 exclusive games as many of you are probably pondering.. Where is GTA:IV! I though was more interested to wonder where was FFXIII in all of this.

GamePro readers have spoken: the most eagerly anticipated PS3 title this year is none other than Metal Gear Solid 4.

The news might be unsurprising to some, given the amount of hype and anticipation surrounding this upcoming system seller, but what is slightly surprising is just how much of a win MSG4 achieved over other highly anticipated PS3 IP in GamePro's most recent readership poll.

The Hideo Kojima title pulled in 57.7% of the vote, a full 46.4% higher than second place finisher (and recently revealed Spring 2009 release) Gran Turismo 5. Rounding out the third and fourth slots on the podium were a pair of sequels in Resistance 2 (12%) and Killzone 2 (11.7%), respectively.

Finally, the quirky roll your own adventure LittleBigPlanet secured the fifth slot with 7.3% of the vote.

      I'm assuming you only said that to be annoying. If not, you've got some research to do.

      Anyway, this info is mostly pointless; like we didn't know already. In fact, Gametrailers named MGS4 the most anticipated title of ALL consoles in January.

    The title's a tad misleading, I thought they meant most anticipated for the PS3's life cycle. Still, depending on just how great it is, I may agree with that.

    I'm surprised Final Fantasy wasn't noted either. But, with so many other exclusives coming out and with no clear date on the game, I guess it not really all that surprising. I just can't wait to lose myself in Metal Gear for one last time. They got the first one for download in the Japanese PS Store dammit, I hope they bring it to the US before MGS4's release.

    Whilst MGS4 is a great title to be anticipating, but LBP is going to be absolutely huge I reckon.

    I love that the main image of Snake is from Super Smash Bros. Brawl...

    clearly it is more antcipated than MGS.

    Although what less riskingly of beng thumbed down that particular image is somewhat misleading, surely there are other image of Snake that can be put there. Just felt I should point that out.
