In a recent interview with Sony's creative director, Ron Fejesto, he has confirmed that Playstation Home is to be released sometime next week. Sony were planning on releasing it during Easter but since it came early this year, Sony couldn't release it in time. So now that the holidays are nearly here, Sony will be releasing Home just as scheduled for an April release next week.
Suprisingly enough RevolutionTT (a private gamers site) was capable of getting an interview with Home's creative artist and ask him a few questions regarding Home.
RevTT: When will the highly anticipated Playstation Home be released?
Ron: Well I guess this could come to you as a surprise but fortunately enough it will be released next week! Sony were planning on releasing before or sometime after Good Friday, but since it came earlier than expected, Home wasn't ready to be released at the time. But next week you will be capable of communicating with friends, play pool and meeting new people thanks to Playstation Home.
RevTT: Thanks for the great news Ron. I assure you all the PS3 owners will be delighted to hear about this! Is there anything you might like to add?
Ron: Actually yes. The next firmware update will bring joy to PS3 owners faces, now I won't spoil the surprise you will just have to wait and see.

sony said themselves that the next ps3 firmware update is 2.30 which features the psn store revamp which is an update of about 0.10 which will be available in 2 weeks time.
so if home was to be released in 1 week then that means its only something like 0.05 of an update which cant be true due to the fact that its a whole new application like folding@home which was like 0.30 of an update.
well thats my Two cent's and that's what i think. >.>
isnt the PSstore a separate entity to the firmware? its nothing more then a website, it can be changed around without the need of an update can it not?
Is that linked to the PS Store update?
Has this been confirmed as April Fools or are we just assuming?
"rick and roll vids" aren't funny. Neither is this, really. What is mildly funny, however, and what jmac353 was alluding to, is how some people find April Fools a very stressful day as they struggle to comprehend that fantastic sounding news can actually be false every once in a while.
Take every article on or within a day or so of April 1st with a grain of salt. If it sounds 'too good to be true', and it is April 1st (or nearly so), it almost certainly is.
And yeah, that other article posted a while ago, contradicted this quite well
holy crap I wish the edit worked...I put the wrong picture in the last one...

Okay, maybe about two or three of them.

I pity the fools who actually believed it...It had to hurt a bit, to find out it was just a joke -_-
