Want to relax? Play video games! A new research study shows that people are more relaxed after playing a game, reducing their stress and aggression levels.

In your face, violent game critics. If games have been reported to relax people, then why don't you let gamers take their anger and aggression out on virtual people and objects to blow off steam?

Yes, there is another study into the effects that video games have on people. Oddly enough, this one finds that gaming makes you less aggressive; instead more relaxed after you have finished playing.

The study was conducted by Jane Barnett of Middlesex University in the UK. She and her colleagues recruited 292 male and female World of Warcraft players, ages ranging from 12 to 83.

Well, I always relax playing them, unless I loose then I get tense and shout and scream. Still, on whole it is quite relaxing.

For me it depends on the game. Explorationish and RPG style games are relaxing as you can do it at your own pace. FPS though I find very energizing.

Honestly I get more pissed off while playing football games then anything else so I buy it.

Unless someone gets a headshot with a pistol from like a quarter mile away. Then I pretty much rage.
